Rules, Scoring and League Ranking

1. The Game
Upon registration, a competition entrant must predict the winning team and margin (or select a draw) for all the fixtures every weekend in the Allianz Leagues Football and / or Hurling competitions. Points are earned by predicting correctly or as closely as the entrant can to the result, see point 16. In order to participate in the competition entrants must follow the instructions on the competition pages of the website.

2. Entry Limitations
An individual may only enter the competition once.

3. ALLIANZ competition entrants
Employees of either Allianz Plc or facetheball are not prohibited from entering the Allianz Leagues Prediction competitions. They are, however, prohibited from winning any prize money in respect of the Allianz League Prediction Game. If an employee finishes in 1st position in any of the competitions, the prize money will go to the 2nd placed player.

4. Age limit
Players must be 18 years or over to enter into the Allianz Leagues Prediction competitions. Allianz reserves the right to request proof of a winner's identity, age and address. In the event that a prize winner cannot provide Allianz with proof of identity, age and address reasonably acceptable to us, we may withdraw the prize and select another prize winner.

5. Competition duration
The competition starts with the first round of league games in February 2017 and concludes with the last fixture of the leagues regardless of whether it is a final or not. If any fixture or a final is drawn and goes to a replay, then the replayed fixture will be included in the competition for predicting.

6. Extra Game weeks
An extra Game week will be added if a fixture or fixtures are rescheduled for a week which had no scheduled fixtures previously.

7. Prediction Input
Entrants must select a margin of victory for one of the teams or select a draw. Players will not be allowed input predictions for a week until the first day of the week or until all fixtures have been clarified for the week.

8. Changing a prediction
The entrant is advised to a select blank where he/she had input the margin or click on the draw box again if he/she had predicted a draw.

9. Prediction Input Deadline
There is a deadline for entering predictions each week. This deadline is indicated beside each week's set of predictions. Players will not be allowed enter predictions for that week after the deadline. Predictions can be entered up until the throw in time of the first fixture in the game week.
Players cannot view other Player's predictions until after the prediction input deadline has passed.

10. Non Input of Predictions
Players will be allowed to miss the input of predictions for one week when they will receive the average score of all Players in the competition who input predictions for that week. Players will be given half the average weekly score for any subsequent weeks where they do not input predictions.

11. Scoring Update
Player's scores for the previous game week will be updated before the start of the following week.

12. Games cancelled or abandoned
Points will not be awarded for fixtures that are not played or abandoned.
Replays or rescheduled games will be added to the set of fixtures for the weeks they are scheduled.

13. Prizes
All prizes will be delivered after the last match of the Allianz Leagues season via registered post. Upon notification winners will be required to provide a mailing address. Please allow 4 – 6 weeks for delivery. For a full breakdown of all prizes please click here

14. Weekly Competition Winner
The Player in the number 1 position on the overall leaderboard after the scores are updated for all the week's predictions, is the winner of the weekly competition.

NB: In a game week where several Players have the highest score, the winner will be randomly selected.

15. Monthly Competition Winner
The Player in the number 1 position on the monthly leaderboard after the scores are updated for all the month's predictions, is the winner of the monthly competition. If a game week spans two months, then that game week is included in the month of the first fixture of the game week. A monthly competition may comprise of fixtures spanning two months i.e. Two months of fixtures may be combined into one monthly competition.

If there is only one game week in a month, then the Player with the highest score in the game week will win the monthly prize.

NB: Where there is only one game week in a month and several Players have the highest score in that game week, then the winner will be randomly selected.

16. Overall Competition Winner
The Player in the number 1 position on the overall leaderboard after the scores are updated for all the competition's predictions, is the winner of the overall competition.

17. GAA Clubs
Only officially recognised GAA clubs will be registered on the website. Designated Clubs cannot be changed once submitted by the Player.

18. Scoring system
Scoring is based on regular time (70 minutes play) only. Extra time scores are not included in the scoring.

40 points - Draw predicted.

Non Drawn Game
20 points - Correct Winning Team predicted
10 points - Exact Margin of victory
9 points - Margin of victory within 1 point
8 points - Margin of victory within 2 points
7 points - Margin of victory within 3 points
6 points - Margin of victory within 4 points
5 points - Margin of victory within 5 points
4 points - Margin of victory within 6 points
3 points - Margin of victory within 7 points
2 points - Margin of victory within 8 points
1 point - Margin of victory within 9 points

19. Leaderboard Ranking
Players with the same score in the same league are ranked by their most recent weekly results.
The Player with the better recent performance is ranked higher.

20. There is no entry fee and no purchase is necessary to enter this competition.

21. Liability
Allianz will not be liable for any damage, loss or disappointment suffered by any person taking part or not being able to take part in this competition.

22. Entry terms
By entering this competition, each entrant agrees to release and hold Allianz and any subsidiary and holding companies, their employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind including, without limitation, personal injury, death, property damage, either directly or indirectly related to or arising from the competition or from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize.

All entries must be in strict accordance with these terms and conditions.

Any entry not in strict accordance with these terms and conditions will be deemed to be invalid, no prizes will be awarded in respect of any such entry, and such entry will be disqualified from the draw.

23. Winners and Entrants Verification & Publication
Winners will be notified by email. It is each Player's responsibility to ensure that their contact details are up to date. Winners will be required to verify (with evidence satisfactory to the Promoter) their age, identity, residence and other requested verification information to the satisfaction of the Promoter before they are eligible to receive a prize.

Each winner must then respond to the notifications as instructed by Allianz plc. within 10 business days. If winners do not respond to our notifications within 10 business days then that winner will forfeit all rights and entitlement to the prize and another winner will be selected by Allianz plc.

Upon notification, winners will also be required to provide a mailing address. Prizes are delivered via registered post. When postal delivery is not suitable, alternative delivery will be arranged between Allianz plc. and the winner. Allianz plc. will not be liable for any prizes that are lost, delayed, or damaged in the post for reasons beyond its control.

By entering the competition, the entrant grants Allianz the right to use and publish his/her name and image in such media as Allianz may choose (including but not limited to the internet) for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration or payment for same.

Allianz may also publish and/or disclose the results of the competition including the winner's name, and the amount of the prize.

24. Dispute
In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, results and all other matters relating to this competition, the decision of Allianz shall be final and binding on all matters, and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

25. Data protection
Allianz plc. will retain all entries in accordance with the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003, and the UK Data Protection Act 1988.

26. Alternative prizes
No alternative prize is available.

27. Competition Rules acceptance
Persons entering this competition will be deemed to have accepted these Competition Rules and agree to be bound by them.

28. Law
This competition and these Competition Rules will be governed by Irish law.

29. Tax liability
Any tax liability arising from the award of a prize will be the responsibility of the recipient of the prize. It is advisable that the winner seeks independent tax advice before accepting their prize.

30. Suspension or withdrawal
Allianz reserves the right to suspend or withdraw this offer, or to amend these Competition Rules, at any time, and for any reason.

31. Allianz reserves the right at any time to disqualify any entrant who is in breach of the Competition Rules.
